It Was All Just A Con

"We found that out with Ben Johnson all those years ago, in 1988 in Seoul, and still we're coming to grips with the sad reality - the better the performance, the less you can trust it."

How a Trail Runner Challenged Himself to Change

"I used to weigh 217 pounds in 2004 and looked at myself in the mirror one day after getting out of the shower and didn't recognize the person looking back at me. It had also caused a few physical ailments, nothing major, but enough to get my attention. I immediately made the decision to change. Today, I weigh 174 pounds and have never felt better. I don't miss my old body. And, I get pleasure giving my body the best food and fluids I can and providing it the physical attention of exercise, albeit to most folks it's considered an extreme form of exercise."

Will Clarke Ascends into Senior Ranks at BG Triathlon World...

Will Clarke enjoyed an impressive fifth place finish as the Corus British Triathlon team packed three athletes into the top ten at the BG Triathlon World Championships in Hamburg.

It was a tight race for the British team, which eventually saw Daniel Unger from Germany snatch the lead from European Champion, Spain's Javier Gomez, in a thrilling sprint finish in the final 200 metres, to claim an outstanding victory in front of the home crowd.

Stuart Hayes led the British out of the 1500m swim with Tim Don and Clarke in close contention. All three Brits stayed in the lead pack on the bike and exited for the final discipline within striking distance.

Triathlon tricks of the trade

The triathlon might appear on the surface to be a simple matter of swimming, cycling and running further than most people would want to.

But under that stamina-sapping surface lies a murkier world - a world where cunning little tricks might be the difference between golden joy and also-ran agony....
