<title>Carlos Sastre wins the Tour de France!</title>
<description>Carlos Sastre started with a lead of 1:34 over Cadel Evans, and most thought he'd lose it to the better time-trialling Australian. But Sastre held firm, did the ride of his life, and has won the Tour de France, barring disaster on the road into Paris tomorrow. Of course, anything can still happen, but only bad luck or trouble will deny the Spanish their third consecutive champion!

<description>LONDON -- Athletes looking for a performance boost are increasingly turning to a little blue pill more usually taken for its off-the-field benefits: Viagra.

Some sports authorities say the drug is now finding a following among athletes. It isn't clear how many might be taking it in hopes of improving athletic performance, but stashes of the drug have reportedly been found among some professional athletes.

Greene also denied the accusations, which were made by a witness in a U.S. government investigation into sports doping and reported this past weekend in the New York Times.

<description>The education of Ryan Hall, called &amp;quot;the future of the marathon&amp;quot; by the Olympic champion last week, continued Sunday at the London Marathon.
Hall, 25, competing in only his third 26.2-mile race, finished fifth in 2 hours, 6 minutes, 17 seconds, the fastest time ever by an American-born marathoner. The only American to run faster is Morocco-born Khalid Khannouchi, who in 2002 ran 2:05:38 in London and 2:05:56 in Chicago.

      <title>Nick Symmonds: Goin' Home! </title>
<description>At the age of 18 I was applying to colleges and, though I wanted to stay in the Pacific Northwest, I also knew that I had to get out of Boise, ID. Boise had been my home for 15 years and while it was a great place to grow up, I needed a change of scenery and wanted to see what life was like in other cities. However, returning to Boise has always been extremely important to me. This Friday I will be going home for the weekend and this got me thinking about why I return home every few months.

      <title>The House that Webb Built?</title>
<description>After 84 years of tireless service to the New York faithful, the "House that Ruth Built" will give way to a brand-spankin'-new stadium, set to begin its tenure in 2009. Most people don't know that the old Yankee Stadium, as it will soon be called, was intended to be a multi-sport stadium. The field was initially surrounded by a quarter-mile running track, which effectively also served as a warning track for outfielders, a feature now standard on all major league fields. The left and right field bleacher sections were laid out at right angles to each other and to the third base stands, to be properly positioned for both track and field events and football.

<title>A Brief Chat With Keith Hanson</title>
<description>With his brother Kevin, Keith Hanson is the co-founder of the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project. Their men's program is well known, thanks to such accomplishments as Brian Sell's third-place finish at last fall's Olympic Marathon Trials. The five-strong women's program will be out in force at April 20's Olympic Marathon Trials, most likely led by Desiree Davila, who placed second at the USA Half Marathon Championships in January in 1:12:10. As with the men, the women train as a group in the Rochester, Michigan area.

<title>If you need motivation, talk to your mom! - Kerron Clement IAAF Online</title>
<description>"Training is going great here in Los Angeles. The weather couldn't be better. It's hot and so we train in the morning. I am just getting ready for my first track meet. The Texas relays will be my first race, I will run the 4x400m relay there, I don't know who is on the team yet, the coaches will pick a team when we get there. It's like a US team.

"I will be doing more 400m's this year than I did last. Basically the 400m helps get the speed up. Last season I ran the 400m in Stockholm before going to the World Championships in Osaka and I felt that it helped me prepare for the World Championships. I enjoy running the 400m and I like pushing myself and running with fast guys to get the times down.

<title>Two Oceans Ultra Marathon, and the state of the &amp;quot;industry&amp;quot; </title>
<description>A rather &amp;quot;South African-centric&amp;quot; post today, but for those outside SA, please do read on, or bear with me for the post focusing on one of South Africa's biggest road races - The Two Oceans Ultramarathon (and Half-marathon). This is a race that few outside of SA will likely have heard of, but it's one of the big 2 ultra-marathons in South Africa, along with the 89km Comrades in June.

<title>Latest Duck distance star pushes the pace </title>
<description>On the back of his Nike racing spikes, where athletes can personalize their shoes, 18-year-old Luke Puskedra of Judge Memorial Catholic High School in Salt Lake City has two words inscribed that best describe his running style.

"Blue collar."

For Puskedra, one of eight prep athletes to sign letters of intent with the Oregon track and field program this spring, it's all about running an honest race, just like a blue-collar worker puts in an honest day's work.
