As Michael Phelps won the 200-meter freestyle to qualify for his second individual event at the Beijing Olympics, Natalie Coughlin and Aaron Peirsol lowered their own world records to win the women's and men's 100-meter backstroke events. Six world records have been set at trials after just three days of competition, all by swimmers wearing the new Speedo LZR Racer.
