US Road Sports & Entertainment Group, owners of the ING Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon, named veteran road race organizer Michael Hughes as race director for the 2009 event. The 2009 ING Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon, which will be run on Sunday, March 29, has received several prominent accolades and awards and recently announced its selection by the Road Runners Club of America as its Southern Region Marathon Championship for 2009.
