Jelena Prokopcuka of Latvia will seek her third consecutive ING New York City Marathon crown on Sunday; she won in the five boroughs in 2:24:41 in 2005 and in 2:25:05 in 2006. Her personal best for 26.2 miles is the 2:22:56 she ran to win the 2005 Osaka Ladies International Marathon.
