Alejandro Valverde is an easy guy to root for. He has a personality, he's daring and aggressive in road races, and he wins some big races. But he's also frustrating to watch, especially in time trials. He, and the people around him, haven't seemed to fully accept the fact that attention to detail is what wins the Tour de France, and he gave away valuable time in today's time trial because of Old World attitudes.
