Running Times Magazine: Pre National XC Talk with Dathan Ritzenhein
Feb. 4 update: Ritzenhein has withdrawn from the race because of contracting the flu. Dathan Ritzenhein will not defend his national cross country title on Feb. 7 in Derwood, Md. He also won in 2005. Two weeks ago, the 26-year-old placed second in the national half marathon championships behind the 2004 Olympic silver medalist in the marathon, Meb Keflezighi. Ritzenhein’s main goal for the spring is April 26’s London Marathon. (more)

Running Times Magazine: Ritz Will Defend National XC Title on Feb. 7
Two-time Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein (Eugene, Ore.) and top U.S. finisher at last year's World Cross Country Championships Emily Brown (Minneapolis, Minn.), have entered the 2009 USA Cross Country Championships, USA Track & Field announced Thursday. The championships will be hosted by the Montgomery Country Road Runners Club at the Agriculture Farm Park in Derwood, Maryland on February 7. (more)
