Jeter leads sparkling sprint display at World Championships

The world bronze medallist (pictured) powered to the fastest first-round time, 11.22 seconds, as speedsters from the US and Caribbean won eight of the nine heats.

Jamaican Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser proved to be the exception as she eased up to allow Brazil's Lucimar de Moura to go through first, though both finished in 11.41 seconds.
